Northtine

Privacy policy

Effective October 23, 2026

Northtine is a hunting log app made by Vagrant Digital LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Northtine app for Android and iOS. The short version: Northtine has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and your hunting log stays on your phone. We can’t see your stands, your hunts or where you hunt.

What stays on your phone

Your locations and their GPS points, hunts, conditions, sightings, harvests, harvest photos, notes, offline map areas and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them. Uninstalling Northtine deletes them. If your phone’s own backup (Google or iCloud) is turned on, it may include Northtine’s data under your backup settings; we have no access to those backups.

Location

Northtine asks for your location only while you’re using the app, to pin a stand or a harvest spot, show where you are on the map, and work out sunrise, sunset and shooting light where you hunt. Your location is saved only on your phone and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Camera and photos

The camera and your photo library are used only when you choose to add a photo to a harvest. Photos are copied into Northtine’s own storage on your phone. They leave your device only if you share one yourself, through your phone’s share sheet, to an app you pick.

Notifications

If you turn on season-opener reminders, Northtine schedules them on your phone. No notification server is involved.

Maps

Satellite and topo maps are loaded from the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Map (basemap.nationalmap.gov). To show a map, your phone requests the map tiles for the area on screen, so the USGS servers receive your internet address and which tiles were requested, as with visiting any website. No account, name or stand information is sent. Areas you download are then stored on your phone and shown without a connection. See the USGS privacy policy.

Purchases

Northtine Plus is a subscription sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They handle your payment, and we never see your payment details. To check whether Plus is active, Northtine uses RevenueCat, a purchase service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase receipt and basic device information such as the platform and app version. It doesn’t receive your name, email, location or hunting log. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Exports

CSV export creates a file on your phone and opens your share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.

What we don’t do

Children

Northtine isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Your choices

You can turn off location, camera, photo or notification access at any time in your phone’s settings; Northtine keeps working without them. You can delete any hunt, location or harvest in the app, or uninstall it to delete everything. To ask us to delete the purchase record RevenueCat holds for your copy of Northtine, email us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above.
